Marty Coleman McConnell, age 74, of Dudes Way passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021. He is the son of the late Claude Henry and JoAnn Ray McConnell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, David Brian McConnell.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Whitted McConnell; son, Robert Keith McConnell (Crystal); grandchildren, Robert Keith McConnell, Jr., Pamela Renee Silvers, Bryan McKinnely and Taylor Alyssa Silvers; great grandchildren, Jayden Alexander and Athena Rose Metcalf and Hunter John Hagen; niece, Jordan Wyandt (Patrick), and great niece and nephew; Jaycee and Lincoln Wyandt.

A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverend Larry Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Whitted Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
