Mary Ruth Candler Davis, 87, went to her heavenly home on October 15, 2023. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Clyde Hue and Mary Lee Edwards Candler. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Fain Robert Davis, son-in-law, Robbie Winker, brother, Billyray Candler, and brother-in-law, Frankie Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Winker, son, Wayne Davis, sisters, Linda Anders (Larry) and Lillymae Davis, brothers, Clyde Hue Candler (Freida) and Ralph Candler, grandsons, Nick (Emily) and Justin (Sierra), great grandchildren, Julie, Hayley, Robbie, and Bladyn, and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Rector Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mary was a wonderful mother and mamaw, spreading joy and happiness wherever she went, with the ability to reach others in positive ways.
