Mary Lee Banks McKinney, 87, of McKinney Rd. Mars Hill, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Ed and Bonnie Watkins Banks. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her late husband Don McKinney, daughter Carolyn Huffman; sons, Jerry Banks Sr. and Jackie McKinney. Mary Lee enjoyed her time at the Marshall Depot, even recently dancing for the Friday night audience.

She is survived by a daughter, Cathey McKinney, sons Gary McKinney (Martha) and James McKinney; sisters, Barbara, Lois and Sara; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Robbie Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
