Mary Sheahan O'Donnell passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025. Mary was an active golfer and swimmer and had an extremely quick sense of humor that would light up any room. Mary graduated from Florida Atlantic University and earned her CPA certification shortly thereafter. For many years she served as Treasury Manager and Controller of Concurrent Computer Systems before moving on to become Director of Accounting for Broward County government.

For more than 20 years, Mary was very active in the Plantation Democratic Club and served as co-treasurer prior to relocating to North Carolina. She was honored with a special award of appreciation for her significant contributions to the club's fundraising efforts.

After many years as a Plantation Florida resident, Mary moved to Weaverville NC to enjoy the mountains and play golf.

Mary is survived by her brother Jack Sheahan (Janet), sister Anne Perzeszty and nieces and nephews Jennifer Sheahan, John P. Sheahan, Anne Perzeszty McManis (William), Susan Perzeszty Silver and Lynn Perzeszty.
