Mary Elizabeth Tipton Radford, known as Aunt Betty in the Beech Glen Community passed away Monday, September 4, 2023. She is the daughter of the late Sam and Byrd Boone Tipton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carrol Radford; sisters, Helen Taylor, Mozelle Buckner and Irma Jo Smith; brothers, Ralph, Carl, Bob and baby brother, Roy Tipton and a special niece Earlene Davis. Mrs. Radford worked and retired from Beacon Manufacturing and was the oldest member of Beech Glen Baptist Church.

She is survived by a brother Donald Tipton and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Stanley Peek will officiate. Burial will follow in the Brigman-McPeters Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:30 prior to the service.
