Mary Faye Wheeler, 81, of Mars Hill, passed away November 12, 2022. She was a native of Buncombe County having lived the past several years in Madison County. She was the daughter of the late Franklin and Bertie Lee Fox Wheeler. Mary was preceded in death by her a sister, Jo Ann Wheeler, and three brothers, Jerry, John, and David Wheeler.

She is survived by her daughter, Bertie Wilbanks (Todd); sisters, Doris Anders and Betsy Penland; brothers, Bob, Lee, Jacob, and Herman Wheeler; grandchildren, Haleigh Saunders and Jacob Wilbanks; and a great grandson, McCoy Saunders.

A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday, December 30, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
