Matthew "Gucci" Lawrence Wallace II, age 23, passed away on November 3, 2024. He was born on August 9, 2001 in Warren County, Virginia.

Matthew was a passionate and talented young man. He had a knack for working on motors, a talent he channeled into projects like his motorcycle. He expressed his artistic abilities through drawing. Matthew's body was his canvas where he displayed his life through his tattoos. His bright smile could light up any room, and he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. He enjoyed his involvement in the Marion, NC firework show.

He was a graduate of Madison Early College, excelling as a dual athlete, competing in both football and wrestling. Above all, he was a devoted family man who cared deeply for each family member, always putting their well-being first. His loving spirit and caring nature will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents; Matthew and Stephanie Wallace, his mother; Carrie Rogers (Jason), brothers; Peyton Wallace and Andrew Rogers, sister; Raelyn Wallace, paternal grandparents; Tom "Grandpa" and Patricia "Grammie" Herscha, Arthur "Poppy" Larry Wallace, maternal grandparents; Tammy "Mamaw" Sims and Wendy Simpson (David), and his loving dog; Bartimus Prime. As well as his many friends who were like family to him.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. In honor of Gucci, the family welcomes all his friends and family to ride their motorcycles and cars to the service.
