Michael Dewayne Boone, 53, passed away December 31, 2025. He was born December 18, 1972, in Buncombe County, and was the son of Mary Jane "Janie" Fisher Boone and the late Novile A. Boone.

Michael was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed fishing and helping others. He retired from welding and plumbing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Brittany Whitlock; sons, Brandon and Austin Boone; sisters, Lisa Honeycutt (Bobby), and Shaylene Tosun (Bryan); and 2 grandchildren, Natalee and Tyler.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverends Phillip Parker and Raymond Cantrell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mainer-Fisher Cemetery on Union Chapel Rd., Weaverville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
