Michael J Phillips, age 69, passed away October 4, 2014. He is the son of the late Paul and Mildred Phillips Davis. He is preceded in death by his brother George Davis. He is survived by his wife, Jean Tipton Phillips; a son, Shane Phillips of Greenville, TN; brothers, Gary Phillips (Marie) of Knoxville and Conley Davis (Lisa) of Leicester. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 at the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel at Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Bill Ponder and Jake Fender officiating. Burial will follow at Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.
