Morris Lane Rice, 80, of Marshall went to be with The Lord on Thursday March 4, 2021. He is the son of the late Zade and Texa Hunter Rice. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Norma Rice. Morris is a U.S Army Veteran.

Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Nellie Sue Griffin Rice; daughters, Melinda Keever (Bobby) and Jennifer Ingle (Myron); sister, Brenda Ammons; brother, Donald Rice; grandchildren Cassie Davis (Joshua), Cody Keever, Briannah Goodson (Justin), Anthony Ingle and Travis Ingle; great grandchild, Kenzleigh Davis.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Oak Grove Baptist Church where he was a member. Reverend Phillip Parker will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the VA Medical Center for their loving care and treatment provided to them and Morris.
