Murphy Franklin, 79, of Marshall, passed away Sunday, July 12, 22015 at the Elderberry Healthcare. He was the son of the late Wolford and Nellie Johnson Franklin. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Hensley Franklin; son, Steven Franklin and brother Brenson Franklin. He is survived by his daughter, Wilma Tweed (Roy), brothers, Dillon, Otis and Jancer Franklin; grandchildren, Vanessa Campagna (Keith), Cody Tweed, Caleb Tweed and Michael Franklin and great grandchild, Brenson Franklin. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 15m 2015 at 7:00 PM in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Ralph Shelton and Sam Adams officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Haney Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
