Myrtle Rochester Ealey, age 90, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on September 17, 2024-. Myrtle was born on August 18, 1934, in Madison County. She was a daughter of the late Tommy and Mada Gosnell Rochester.

Myrtle was someone who always made sure you had a meal or a snack. She retired from French Broad Electric and was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by first husband, Joe Sprouse, who died in 1972; her second husband, Gary Donovan Ealey, who died in 2019; and brothers, Arvil and Lyda Gosnell.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tammy Sprouse Israel (Dan); son, Joey Sprouse; sister-in-law, Bula Gosnell; stepdaughter, Tara Frederick (Bill); grandchildren, Alicia Sprouse (Dalton Cook), Jacob Isreal, Ryan Frederick (Naomi), and Bradley Frederick; and Myrtle's dear friend, Peggy Fender, who was faithful during her final time here on earth.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday September 21, 2024, in Gosnell Cemetery. Reverends Ken Parker and Danny Jenkins will officiate.
