Myrtle "Stella" Kent West, age 97, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2024. She was born on May 10, 1927, in Buncombe County. She was the daughter of the late Cecil A. and Eva Edmonds Kent.

In addition to her parents, Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Bruce West; sisters, Betty Holcombe, Naomi Hensley, and Minnie Woody; and a brother, Calvin Kent.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Caroll Bruce West (Brenda); Mike West; and Tommy West (Pam); fourteen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday September 19, 2024, in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville.
