Nelda Faye Phillips Banks, age 54, passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Phillips and Frances Carter Phillips. In addition to her father she is also preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Phillips. In addition to her mother, Nelda is survived by her daughters, Brenda Robinson (Todd) and Christine Banks (fiancé Billy Griffey); grandson, Robert Robinson and brother, Eddie Dean Phillips (Brenda Reid). A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service with Reverends Donny Thomas and Solie Griffey officiating.
