Nellie "Sue" Griffin Rice, 78, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. She was born on August 7, 1946, to the late Wayne and Nona Wade Lewis Griffin. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Lane Rice, sisters, Iva Glenn McDevitt and Edna Massey, and a brother McCllen Griffin.

Sue is a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and loved her church family, enjoyed spending time with her family, and was an avid gardener.

She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Keever (Bobby) and Jennifer Ingle (Myron); sister, Eula Mae Franklin; brother, Dennis Griffin (Nell); grandchildren, Cassie Davis (Banny), Cody Keever (Emily), Briannah Goodson; and great granddaughter, Kenzleigh Davis.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday July 30, 2025, at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Reverend Phillip Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
