Nina Faye Simmons Bagwell, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 7, 2022 one month after her 91st birthday, to join her husband of 70 years, Joe Hamilton Bagwell and their sons, Bruce and Brian Bagwell. In addition to their family, she is preceded in death by her parents, Brook and Maude Connor Simmons; siblings, Christine Lunsford (Jack), Bud Simmons (Marie) Eunice George (Ray) and twin brother, Ray Simmons.

She is survived by her brother, Ben Simmons (Oakie) in Lacy, Washington; many nieces, nephews and several close friends. One special nephew, Jackie Lunsford and wife Ann, that have been her "right hand" for over two years.

A special thanks to Brenda Barbour, Emma Dennis and Sarah Blackwell for their love and outstanding care given to "Aunt Faye" to allow her to remain in her home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Flint Hill Cemetery, Weaverville. Ross Young will officiate the service.
