Nina Marie Edwards, 64, of Greeneville, TN, passed away January 2, 2023, at Durham Hensley NH surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Freedom and Geneva Edwards. Also preceding her in death is a brother Allen Edwards. Nina was a loving sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her.

Nina is survived by sisters, Vickie Edwards Rice (Jerry), of Canton, Teresa Edwards Bowers (Freddie) of Greenville, TN; brother Owen Jerald Edwards (Rhonda) of Mars Hill; nieces, Samantha Rice (Chris Beck), Lucy Bishop (Jaime), Jessica Ricker (Trey) and Rebecca Edwards; nephew, Joshua Bowers (Jonda); great nephews, Jamie and Jernie Bowers; great nieces, JoLynn Bowers and Emma Beck, and also a special uncle and aunt, Doyle and Gail Lloyd; special cousins, Rhonda Terry and Jenny Fox and many other cousins.

A funeral service will be held 11:00am Friday, January 6, 2023, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Doyle Lloyd and Jerald Rudd will officiate. The burial will follow in the Ivy Ridge Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to thank the staff of Durham Hensley Nursing and Rehab Center of Chuckey, TN and Amedysis/Hospice of Greenville, TN for the excellent and compassionate care given to Nina in her final weeks. A special thanks also to the staff of Greenville Community Hospital East, Dr. Fernandez and staff, Dr. Patel (Nikki) and staff, Dr. Whitaker's office, Dr. Nolan Shelton, Wound Care, and anyone who had a part in her care over the past few years. Everyone has gone above and beyond, and we appreciate it greatly.
