Ola Mae Rice age 77, formerly of Madison County passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 in Florida. She was the daughter of the late Troy and Annie Buckner Rice. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by sister, Ethel Lorraine Rice and brother, Aaron Rice. Ms. Rice worked for many years at Hammerland Manufacturing Co. and later retired from Square D. She lived the last years of her life in Florida with her brother and his family. She is survived by a sister Evelyn Rice Ramsey (Calvin), brother, Roy Alvin Rice (Lee): nieces, Susan Burnette, Sandra Ellingsworth, Marsha Pridgeon and nephew, Charles Daniel Rice and several great nieces and great nephews. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Rev. Doctor Harry Culbertson will officiate. Burial will follow in Gabriel's Creek Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
