Oma Shelton Gosnell, age 84 of Weaverville passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at her home. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Falecia Shelton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ruben "Kenneth" Gosnell who died in 2021, and daughter Linda Gail English. Mrs. Gosnell attended Long Branch Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters; Sandy Metcalf (Ray), Wilma Keller (Daniel) and Judy Shelton (Gene), brothers; Frankie Shelton (Sandy), Casey Shelton (Judy), and Stokley Shelton (Della Sue), grandchildren; Kelsey Keller (David), Falecia Thomas (David), Scottie Shelton (Tina), Cynthia Shelton, Tyler Keller, Kayla Thomas (Tyler) and Raegan Metcalf; and great grandchildren; Dakota Crain, Halley Shelton, Jayden Kent, Jacob Thomas and one more on the way.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The burial will follow in the Gosnell Cemetery in Revere Community. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening 5:00 – 7:00PM at the funeral home.
