Oren Earl Knicely, age 76, of Mars Hill, North Carolina passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025. He was born in Braxton County, West Virginia on October 23, 1948 and was the son of the late Oren and Ruth Anderson Knicely.

Oren loved to cook and being around other people. He also loved doing things for others. He enjoyed gardening and sharing the abundance of his garden with neighbors, family and friends. Mr. Knicely enjoyed working on restoring old tractors and automobiles. He was a retired shop foreman and mechanic. Oren was a Christian.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Leffingwell Knicely of the home; three sons, Michael Knicely of Mars Hill, NC, Mark Knicely (Dana) of Mars Hill, NC and Kurt Ferguson of Wilmington, NC; a grandson, Jackson Knicely of Mars Hill, NC.
