MARS HILL: Paris Hamlin Hill, 88, of Mars Hill, passed away April 5, 2011 at John F. Keever Solace Center after a declining illness. She was retired from Micro Switch and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, having served in several difference positions over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 62 years, Boyd Hill who died in 2003, her parents, Arthur and Annie Ballard Hamlin, brothers; Euris, Kermit and Levi Hamlin and sister, Geneva Maynard.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynda Bailey Bolden, son, Lanny Hill and wife Guydeene, four grandchildren; Greg Bailey (Lynn), C. Shane Bailey (Magon), Shelley Hill Wilde (Chris) and Benny Hill (Kelly), sisters; Orla Roberts, Evelyn McPeters (Bacchus) and Ruby Hill (Brawdus) and nine great grandchildren; Parker, Garren, Ebanie, Trenton and Tanner Bailey, David and Mariah Wilde, Victoria and Noah Hill.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, April 8, 2011 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Revs Ed Rice and Troy Rogers will officiate. Burial will follow at Briggs Cemetery. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
