Patricia Ann (Baird) Bishop was called home by her savior and maker on December 12, 2022. Patricia was born on January 9, 1955, to Burns and Shirley (Knight) Baird. She graduated from Mars Hill High School in 1973. She completed the AB Tech College Nursing Program as well as receiving her Bachelor of Science from The Baptist College of Charleston. Patricia worked at St. Joseph prior to entering the United States Air Force in 1977. In 2000, Patricia retired from the State of Florida as a social worker. After retirement, she moved to Mars Hill, North Carolina before moving to Indianola, Iowa in 2005. Patricia enjoyed her life and her family despite lingering health problems. Her pretty smile, tender heart, and her ability to spread love will be deeply missed.

Patricia is survived by her husband, James Bishop; son, Zachary Bishop; and sisters, Bernice and Francine; and a brother, Tommy Baird. Memorials in Patricia's name can be made to the Arthritis Foundation: PO Box 96280 Washington DC. 20077.

A memorial service will be held 10:00am Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. The burial will follow in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
