Paul R. Boles, 85, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024, at The Greens at Weaverville. Paul was born and raised on Spillcorn, to Oscar and Nellie Wallin Boles, one of five children.
In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Gentry Boles, sister Sophia Franklin, and a brother, Junior Boles.
Paul was in the trucking industry for over 50 years, never meeting a stranger, always a smile on his face and a kind heart, an avid gardener and animal lover.
Paul is survived by his sons, David Wayne Boles (Stacy Loven) and Kenneth Boles (Vicky); two brothers, Hugh Boles (June) and Clyde Boles (Mary Frances); four grandchildren, Amanda Norton (Troy), Eric Metcalf (Ashley Rice), Justin Boles (Dayla Capallia), and Dillon Boles; five great grandchildren; his partner that he spent many years with, Barbara Davis and two special daughters, Tamara Huffman and Sandra Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 12pm Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service. Pastor Rusty Smart will officiate. Burial will follow in the Boles Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
