Pauline Sawyer, 92, of Marshall, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the daughter of the late Moody and Lizzie Davis Sawyer.

In addition to her parents, Pauline is preceded in death by her daughter, Ellen Sawyer, son, Eugene Sawyer, daughter-in-law, Vickie Sawyer; brothers, Anzle, Ansel, Ray, Clyde, and Kelly Sawyer.

Pauline loved gardening and the outdoors and being in the dirt tending to her animals on her farm. She had an infectious laugh, a sense of humor and never met a stranger.

Pauline is survived by her son, Lester Sawyer; brother, Wayne Sawyer; grandchildren, Sandy Cassidy (Chuck) and Pamela Holcombe (Brian); and her great granddaughter, who was the light of her life, Brianna Cassidy.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, November 14, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Kenneth Pack and Randy Roberts will officiate. The burial will follow in the Dockery Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
