Payton Chadwick Ayers, 20, of Marshall passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021. He was born on August 18, 2000, to Chadwick Ayers and the late Pamela Boyd Ayers. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Winifred Joan Boyd, and grandfather, Sidney Ayers. Payton graduated from Greene High School and attended Walters State Community College. He loved fishing and playing a little golf.

In addition to his father, Payton is survived by his son Easton; sister, Chasta Ayers of Greene County, TN; maternal grandmother, Debbie King of Marshall; paternal grandmother, Linda Ayers of Greene County, TN; aunts, Kim Boyd, Paula Boyd, Linda Hunter, and Peggy Reynolds; uncles, H.L. Hunter, David Boyd, Michael Boyd, and Jimmy Boyd; and many cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1pm Friday, March 26, 2021, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Gordon Peek will officiate. Burial will follow in Gid Payne Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to his friends at work and to Red Hill Freewill Baptist Church, where he attended Sunday school and bible school.
