Pearl Gentry Thomas, 70, of 56 Mundy Cove Road, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2013. She is a native of Buncombe County and daughter of the late Erskin and Irene Lance Gentry. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Alice Waldrop, Betty Brown and Helen Hollar. She is survived by her husband Donald C. Thomas; daughters, Teresa Rice(David), Donna Henson(Eddie), Susie Waldrup (David Sledge), Jeannie Blackwell (Chris); son, Kevin Thomas; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Reis, Jeannette Grooms, Joyce Franklin , Mary E. Black; brothers, Tate Gentry, David Gentry and John Gentry. A celebration of life will be held at 7 pm, Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Officiating will be Reverends. Mack Revis, Steve Rhinehart and Levi Henson. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
