Peggy Jenell Carver Jones, 73, of Candler, passed away July 8, 2025. She was born April 24, 1952 to the late Vance Carver and Gladys Rice Carver.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Lee Jones; son, Daniel Shane Stafford; sister, Veta Ruck; and brother, Calvin Carver.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Brenda Rice (Kevin Morris); sisters, Sandra Felts and husband Chuck and Jean Wright; brother, Coy Carver (Susan); grandchildren, David Helton, Jonathan Cole, Emily, Danny, Madison and Savannah Stafford; great grandchild, Selena Cole; Ivy Stafford; Matteo Stafford; brother-in-law, John Ruck; nieces, Jennifer Ruck, Sabrina Carver Bandy, Sarrah Carver, Lisa Carver; nephews, Scott Ruck, Conrad Carver and Calvin's son, George Carver.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, July 13, 2025, in the French Broad Baptist Church Cemetery, 92 Curtis Miles Rd. Alexander, NC 28701.
