Philip Gardner, 51, passed away on February 17, 2025. He was a native of Madison County, born on August 15, 1973 to Frances Rice Gardner and the late Clyde Gardner. Philip was a generous man, always trying to help others. He had a big heart and loved to make others smile. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Donna Shelton, and a niece, Meagan Ann Gardner.

Philip is survived by his wife, Sharon Wallace Gardner; son, Colton Gardner (Savannah Chandler); sisters, Michelle Lunsford (Boyce) and June Elaine Shelton (Phil); brother, Clyde Gardner, Jr. (Shelly); grandson, River Gardner; nieces and nephews, David Shelton (Callie), Jesse Shelton (Crystal), Kristi Gentry (Brandon), Lechelle Worley, Haley Young (Matthew), Sabrina Lunsford, Farrel Gardner, Kyle Gardner (Josie), Brittany McCool (Brody), Robert Gardner, and Rebecca Shelton; several great nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends and coworkers.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2025, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Pastor David Shelton and Pastor Sam Adams will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service.
