Raeford Kermit English,71, of Mars Hill went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 14, 2022. He was a native of Madison County and the son of the late Condry and Orla Bailey English. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Norris "Georgia" Wilson English, sister, Jesse Slagle and brothers, Jim and Billy English.

He is survived by his son, Keith English of Mars Hill; stepdaughter, Paula Chandler Donald (Scott) of Weaverville; brother, Lee English (Lynna); grandchildren, Jesse and Jared English. step grandchildren, Bradley Lindholme (Rainna) and Lauren Lindholme.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Pastor Brian Roberts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Little Ivy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
