Raymond Kimsie Ball, 81, of Alexander, passed away on January 11, 2022. He was the son of the late Rev. Kimsie Ball and Mattie Lee Roberts Ball. Raymond served in the United States Air Force. Raymond obtained a bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Metcalf and his brother Roland Ball.

Raymond is survived by his sisters: Faye Metcalf, Clara Youle, Irene Earwood; Brother: Ronald Ball; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 am, January 14, 2022, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Donald Earwood officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 13, 2022, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
