Reverend Adam "Glenn" Burrell, 83, of Mars Hill, NC passed away Friday, January 20, 2023. He was the son of the late Adam Giles and Robbie England Burrell. Glenn was the pastor of many churches, ending up at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Burnsville.

He was also predeceased by his sisters, Connie Abrams, Wilma Fowler, Sybil Hill, and Christine Burrell; and two grandchildren, Luke Burrell, and Jason Liberty.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Annie Mae Silvers Burrell; daughter, Glenna Barrett; and son, Jonathan Burrell (Sharon).

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 23 in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Garland Rice, Chaplain Derrick Whitson, and Reverend Jonathan Burrell and will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm – 1:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church, 1320 Gabriel's Creek Road, Mars Hill, NC 28754.
