Rex Freeman, age 87, of Sharp Hollow Road passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 4, 2021. He is the son of the late Ernie and Evelyn Payne Freeman. Mr. Freeman was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and retired from Metropolitan Sewerage District. He had a special love for Tennessee Walking Horses.

He is survived by his daughter, Sandy Freeman Williams; sister, Illa Price; grandson, Dale Metcalf (Sandi); his loving dog "Herschel"; best friends, Ray Lewis, Bobby Arrowood, Ronnie Ramsey, Dale Henderson, Frank Adams and Carroll Walker.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, October 10, 2021, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Freeman Payne Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 – 2:00 prior to the service.
