Richard Young, 89, of Weaverville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. He is the son of the late Lloyd and Fannie Young. He is preceded in death by his wife: Maxine (Womack) Young; sister: Frances Silvers; as well as two brothers: Lloyd Young Jr. and Dan Young.

Richard is survived by his daughter: Debbie Cooper (Don); son: Raymond Young; brothers: Lawrence Young (Regina), Floyd Young (Dinah); and his two grandchildren: David and Dustin Cooper.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 2, at 1:00pm at Mount Sheba Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Keith Watkins will officiate the service.
