Rickey Lane Ramsey, 56, of 15 Mulberry Lane, passed away, November 22, 2015, at John F. Keever Solace Center. He was the son of Ruth Ann Lewis, and the late Ernest Ramsey. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by mother-in-law, Selma K. Chandler; brother-in-law, Donnie Randall.
Rickey is survived by his wife, Lisa Chandler Ramsey; step-father, Jim Wilson; daughter, Alyssa Rose Spence (Ray Scott); sons, Jeremiah Lane and Zachariah Isaac Ramsey; brother, Ernie Ramsey (Kim); sister, Regina Lynn; nieces, Kelsey Ramsey, Megan Fogel, Misty Blue, Dawn, Tiffany, Heather and Taran Chandler; nephews, Chase Ramsey, Michael Lynn, R.L. Dawn, Austin, C.J., Trey, and Jackson Chandler and Dustin Randall; great-nephew, Canon Barefoot; father-in-law, Charlie "Red" Chandler; sister-in-law, Shannon Randall; brothers-in-law, Chuck, Eric and Jamie Chandler.
A Celebration of Rickey's life will be held 1:00pm Saturday, November 28, at Marshall Presbyterian Church. Reverends Melissa Upchurch and George Moore will officiate. Burial will follow in the Freeman Gap Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4-6:00pm Friday, November 27 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service.
