Robert Ray "Bobby" Rice, 69, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, July 22, 2107 at his residence. A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Cullis and Eunice Wildes Rice and brother of the late David Cullis "D.C." Rice. Bobby worked for APAC for many years and retired in 2010.
He is survived by his daughter; Angie Jenkins (Rick), son; Bobby Rice (Chris), grandchildren; Corey Jenkins (Felicia), Tyler Jenkins, Amber Payne (Shane) and Megan Rice, great grandchildren; Owen and Hope Jenkins and Kamdyn Payne, sisters; Betty Rigsby Murray (Roger), Robbie Gunter (Junior), brothers; Gene Rice (Tia), Johnny Rice (Linda), sister-in-law; Peggy Rice, several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1–2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held 2:00pm with Reverend Garland Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Clarks Chapel Cemetery. Cory and Tyler Jenkins, Shane Payne, Jeff and Jimmy Rigsby and Gene Rice will serve as pallbearers.
