ASHEVILLE: Robert "Bob" Lee Young Sr., 73, of 12 Georgia Hill Dr., passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 after a long illness at the Laurels of Summit Ridge. He was a native of Philadelphia, PA and a son of the late Noble Grant and Myrtle Young. He was a US army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Jessie Gentry of the home, daughters; Karen Ann, Dawn, Belinda all of Toledo, Ohio, Priscilla Sarenius of Monroe, GA.,

Carmen Greene of Hot Springs, sons; Donald and Johnny of Toledo Ohio, Robert Lee Young Jr. of Asheville, Vincent Young of Monroe, GA., Gator Gentry of Beckley,

W. VA., sisters; Minnie Sequin of Toledo, OH. Derida LewEllen of Robbins, TN.,

brother, Noble Grant Young Jr. of Oak Ridge, TN. and many grandchildren who were the light of his life and several great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill. Rev. Gary Fox will officiate. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 4:00 pm prior to the service.
