Roberta Wright, born January 14, 1966, in Asheville, North Carolina, passed away May 8th, 2026, surrounded by the love that meant everything to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe and Cleota Norton; her sister, Jane Moore; her niece, Rebecca Moore; and a beloved grandchild lost before birth.

Roberta is survived by her devoted husband Mark Wright of 43 years in whom she loved since she was 11 years old, her two sons, Anthony "Fredd" Wright and Brandon Wright, who were the absolute center of her world. She loved her boys fiercely-proudly raising what she would lovingly call her "mama's boys," a title they carried with both humor and deep affection. A niece by birth, but a daughter in her heart, Beth Wolfe (Scott). Morgan, Significant other to Brandon, who she cherished. Her family grew to include her daughter-in-law, Monica, who took care of her every need until the end, as a token of appreciation for showing her the true meaning of unconditional love. Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to her grandsons, Garrett and Brantley, who brought endless light into her life. Along with them, she carried in her heart the memory of one precious grandchild never met but always deeply loved. Roberta is also survived by her niece, Shelley Roberts, an experienced CNA who lovingly helped care for her. Shelley's compassion and dedication brought comfort and support during a time when it was needed most.

More than anything, Roberta's life was defined by her love for her husband, her sons, and her grandsons. They were not just important to her, they were her whole world, the reason behind her laughter, her strength, and her unwavering devotion. The depth of her love for those five was something truly rare and unforgettable, leaving a lasting imprint on each of their lives. Roberta will be remembered for her warmth, her fierce loyalty to her family, and the way she made those she loved feel like everything. Also Left to cherish her memory are her sisters, Easter Griffee (Mark), Rose Dees (Ron), Loretta Boings (Benny) - her best friend Vicky Revis and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1pm Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Blue Ridge Funeral & Cremation Service, with the funeral service following at 1pm. Reverend Larry Rogers will officiate. The burial will follow at Mt. Zion Independent Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
