Roger Dale Harris, 59, of Marshall, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023. He is the son of Lois Cordell Harris and the late William Harris and a native of Cleveland County, having lived in Rutherford and Madison Counties most of his life. He is preceded in death by 2 infant twin sisters and infant sister, Sherry.

In addition to his mother, Roger is survived by his wife of 25 years, Tina Rice Harris; daughter, Tess Harris (Bailey Byrum); son, Spencer Harris; sister, Carla Frazier; brother, Al Harris (Kathy); mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edith and Spence Rice; brother-in-law, Darin Rice (Kelly); 2 nieces, Laura Harris and Avery Rice; and 3 nephews, Jamie Frazier, Michael Harris, Jacob Rice.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Friday, January 6, 2023, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Kevin Boone will officiate. Burial will follow in Spencer Rice Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Roger's love was coaching, he coached and mentored hundreds of young adults throughout Western North Carolina, but his biggest joys in his life were his children.
