Ronald Jack Rich, 77 of Banjo Branch Road Mars Hill NC, passed away unexpectedly at Mission Hospital on February 2, 2019. He was born on August 26, 1941 to the late Hubert and Amber Jean Hamlin Rich. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, JC Rich and sisters, Demaris Propst and Doris Fisher. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Libby Large Rich, several nieces, nephews and friends. He owned and operated Ronald Rich Plumbing and Heating from the late 1960's until he retired in 2005. In his younger years, Ronald enjoyed time at the lake fishing and water skiing with friends. Following retirement, he looked forward to helping his nephews, Michael and Matthew Cody with their farming. A funeral service will be held at 7pm Wednesday February 6, 2019 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Brother Eddie Fox will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00pm prior to the service. Burial will be at 11 am Thursday, February 7, at Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
