Ronald Shelton, 77, of Madison County, NC, after a long battle with dementia and many other health issues finally found rest in the arms of Jesus, Wednesday, November 12, 2025. He was born August 21, 1948, to Evert and Kathleen Shelton.
Ronald worked for 19 years for Coca-Cola before going on to work for Pepsi, where he retired after working for them for over 20 years. Ronald enjoyed fishing and tinkering on things. He always enjoyed playing pranks and enjoying time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marilyn Shelton; sons, Roger Shelton (Marshell) and Tony Shelton (Karen); brother, Eldwin Shelton (Shirley Jo); 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandsons; and 1 great granddaughter.
He was welcomed into heaven by his brothers, Charles, Stewart, and his twin brother, whom he loved dearly, Russell, along with his mother and father, Kathleen and Evert.
His funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Red Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Marshall, NC, where he was a member for many years. Pastor Cam Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
