Ronald Nathaniel Shetley, 77, of Hot Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at his residence. He is the son of the late William Roy and Dora Wyatt Shetley and a lifelong resident of Madison County. Ronald is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Waldroup; and two brothers, Horace and Lewis Shetley.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Norton Shetley; daughter, Cindy Wood (Clinton); sons, Steve Norton (Nicole) and Nick Shetley; brothers, John Shetley (Inez) and James Shetley; grandchildren, Audrey Ramsey (Dakota), Jacob Shetley (Whitney), Matthew Shetley (Allison), Darren Wood, and Megan Wood (CJ); great grandchildren, Braylon, Jasper, Myla, Chris, Brodee, Parker, and Tate; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Mark Caldwell will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:30pm-2pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blue Ridge Funeral Service, PO Box 27, Mars Hill, NC 28754, to assist the family with funeral expenses.

Ronald was a wonderful husband, father, grandpa, and was a friend to everyone.
