Ronald Wayne Wallin, 77, passed away on November 4, 2024. He was born on February 11, 1947, in Madison County, to the late Ishmael and Frankie Bullman Wallin.
Ronald was a loving Christian man who loved the Lord and his family. He was an Air Force Veteran. Ronald loved playing baseball and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan. He retired from the United States Postal Service.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Wallin; son, Jeter Wayne Wallin; brother, Bruce Wallin; brother-in-law, Clifford Smith; cousin, Harold Bullman; and John Lowery whom he loved like a son.
Ronald is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Shelton (Joe); sisters, Barbara Smith, Patricia Mashburn, and Betty Montie (Floyd); and several special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Reverend Jimmy Dean Hensley will officiate. Burial will follow in the California Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Michael Bullman, Don Moss, Adrian Reece, Tyler Wright, Daniel Wright, and Floyd Montie will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
