Ronnie Lee Goldsmith, 37, opened his eyes in heaven on Saturday, October 21, 2017. He was the son of Ronnie Keith and Shirley Allison Goldsmith. Ronnie was a 1998 graduate of Erwin High School and earned an Associate degree at Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. He was employed with Mission Health as a health care coordinator. In addition to his parents Ronnie is survived by his sister, Tonya McBrayer (Jason); niece, Olivia McBrayer; nephew, Ryder McBrayer; aunts, Polly Brooks (Dennis) and Sharon Levi; uncles, Mike, Doug, Curtis, Bruce and Tommy Goldsmith, and Eddie Allison; and many extended family members and beloved friends. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Friday, October 27, 2017, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill. Reverend Jim Dykes will officiate. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home. Ronnie was an unselfish person, with a kind, caring good-hearted soul. He was loved by many and will leave a void in our hearts. Ronnie, we know that you have joy and everlasting life. May your light continue to shine in us all. Your love for family and friends was boundless and you greeted strangers with a "honey" and a gentle smile. You will be forever missed.
