Roy Alvin Rice, 71, formerly of Mars Hill, passed away September 20, 2015 in Clermont Florida. Mr. Rice was the son of Troy and Annie Buckner Rice. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sisters, Ethel Lorraine and Ola Mae Rice and brother, Aaron Rice. Mr. Rice retired from Walt Disney World after 38 years as an Auto Mechanic. He loved landscaping, racing and his dog Shorty. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Clay Rice; daughters, Susan Burnette, Sandra Ellingsworth, Marsha Pridgeon; son, Charles Daniel Rice; sister, Evelyn Ramsey; four grandsons, one granddaughter and three great grandsons. A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Friday, September, 25, 2015 at Gabriel's Creek Baptist Church. Reverend Gary Coates will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
