Rev. Roy Harmon Radford, 73, of Mars Hill, went home to his Savior, on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and a son of the late Harmon and Iris Ramsey Radford. Roy was a Baptist preacher for over 30 years and attended South Bend Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his daughter, April Dawn Radford, and two sisters, Joann Radford and Doris Rice (James).

Roy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara Edwards Radford; and a niece, Rebecca Rice.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Preston Riddle, Junior Metcalf, and Doug Yelton will officiate. Burial will follow in the Radford Ramsey Cemetery. Scotty English, Jeff Ballard, Casey Edwards, Tyler Edwards, Chris Honeycutt, and Clifton Woody will serve as pallbearers, with Steve Honeycutt serving as honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
