Roy Leonard Robinson, age 83, of Mars Hill, went home to be with the Lord, on October 12, 2023. He was born on June 3, 1940, in Madison County to the late Rev. Cays Robinson and Stella Ponder Robinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Eva Hunter, and Ruth Rice; and two special brothers-in-law, Dallas Rice, and Walter Hunter.

Roy loved the Lord with all his heart and prayed for his family daily. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 53 yrs. Linda Mae Robinson; two daughters, who he loved dearly, Patricia Garrison and Sandra Hadaway (Richard Luther); a brother, Carl Robinson (Joyce); 3 grandchildren, Ashley Hadaway (Nicolas), Dylan Hadaway, and Brittany Robinson (Anthony); and 4 great grandchildren who were the apples of his eye, Blake, Corbin, Kenzee, Ellie and a precious baby boy on the way; as well as several special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday October 16, 2023, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverend Kenneth Pack and Brother, Joel Fox will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Bull Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm prior to the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff, for all the wonderful care given to Roy during his stay at Madison Health and Rehabilitation.
