Ruby "Carol" Marler, age 68, of Sams Road, Marshall passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Mission Hospital. She was the daughter of James Buford and Betty Sams Marler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Holder; sister, Beulah Payne and brothers, James "Peanut", Jack and Barry Marler. Carol was an employee with Madison County Emergency Team for 37 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Suzanne Holder; sisters, Anne Marler Gibson and Pat Morris; brother, Bud Marler and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Jack Rhew, Kenneth Pack and Jimmy Dean Hensley will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
