Dean Peek, age 64, passed away on Friday May 31, 2024. He was born on April 3, 1960, in Buncombe County to the late Rufus H. and Louisa Ramsey Peek.

Dean was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ponder; and three brothers, Larry, Jeff, and Dennis Peek.

Dean is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rennie Rumbough Peek; a daughter Crystal Peek; two sons, Jonathan and Travis Peek; two brothers, Edward "Red" Peek, and Robert Peek; and three grandchildren, Xander, Jacob, and Shyanne.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, in the Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral and Cremation Service. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, Asheville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
