Russell Calvin Chandler, age 87 of North Windy Ridge, went home to be with his Lord at his residence on Friday, March 4, 2022. He is the son of the late Collis and Bonne Buckner Chandler. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Lydia Chandler and brothers, Ed, Benny, and Howard Chandler. Mr. Chandler is a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ester Mae Gosnell Chandler; daughter, Doreen Price (John); sons, Terry Chandler and Kenneth Chandler (Sherry); sister, Aletha Snipes; brothers, Marion, Dennis, Harlon and Alvin Chandler; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Monday, March 7, 2022 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service. Reverends Eric Sams, Randy Roberts and Charles English will officiate. Burial will follow in the Chandler Payne Cemetery (off Roberts Hill Road). The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
