WEAVERVILLE: Russell Scot Parker, 33, of 32 Cedar Hill Lane, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 4, 2010. He was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County and a son of the lat James and Deborah Hurst Parker. Scot was a member of the North Buncombe Youth League where he was active and coached T-Ball and was also a member of Woodland Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife Stephanie Burrell Parker of the home, sons; Sawyer Parker and Spencer Parker of the home, brother, Jamie Parker and wife Amber of Weaverville and nieces Kaitlynn Parker. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in Robbie Capps Memorial Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill. Revs Barry Fisher and Donald Hare will officiate. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be: Jamie Parker, Barry Davis, Darrell Fender, Josh Robinson, Jason Fox, Brent Rhodarmer, Joey Honeycutt and Jay Shelton. The family will receive from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
